Below is a response we received regarding the article we had sent out on "Should Believers Observe Hanukkah?".  We hope you enjoy and are inspired by the insights shared below......

Shalom,

Happy Hanukkah to your family and all who gather with you, Please let me add by telling you why I believe this feast to be so significant. Whether or not the story of the one cruse of oil lasting eight days or not the lighting of these candles can have a very significant meaning.  Yahshua was concieved at this time of year and that He is the servant light that came into the world to bring light. The Torah light John 1 : 1 - 5. There are nine candles or lights one each night for eight nights and on that last night no other lights are lit as the light from these nine bring the complete light as Yahshua was born nine months after being conceived . His birth being in Succoth [ Feast of tabinacles] as the light of the world. Nine in scripture very significant as for example nine gifts of the ruach. Every thing at this feast are examples of the Ruach - Light , Fire , and oil. Food eaten at this time is cooked in oil. So in remembering we should also remember the miracle conception by the Ruach of our Messiah Yahshua the Torah light , and that came and dwelt amongst us bringing light to this world of sin and darkness and bringing to us Redemption.

Shalom and blessings at this Feast of Rememberance.
